Adobe and Econsultancy find that only 37 percent of brands use social media for brand storytelling

Marketplace Maven’s take on the social media donut story

Current research from Adobe and Econsultancy has found that although 64 percent of companies are using social media for brand awareness, only 37 percent use it for content marketing and brand storytelling.

Over 650 marketing professionals were surveyed for the Managing and Measuring Social report, developed to uncover business trends in social media awareness, measuring its value, and examining the needs and challenges of companies using social media today. About three quar­ters of client-side respon­dents say that mea­sur­ing the impact of social is ‘very difficult’, which is music to the ears of Adobe who have recently launched Adobe Social, a platform that integrates social media insights in one place.

The report indicates that Facebook and Twitter are still the social leaders, with YouTube and LinkedIn following.
