Support those who really made the London 2012 Olympic Games possible… but can’t say

Earlier this week, Prime Minister David Cameron chaired the Creative Industries Summit to promote British businesses involved with the Games, despite most not being able to take advantage of their association.

The ‘No Marketing Rights Protocol’ outlined by the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) has angered Olympics suppliers, as they cannot highlight their designs in future proposals or awards.

At the event, New London Architects Chair Peter Murray protested against what he called a draconian impact of the rules by wearing a t-shirt that said ‘These architects and engineers designed the London Olympics’, showing what was essentially an illegal list of those directly involved to journalists in news interviews across the country.

To further support those businesses who worked on the 2012 Olympics Games, London-based design firm Rizon have created a series of unofficial posters that sidestep the silencing LOCOG rules.

If you would like to download the Underground Supporter posters, you can do so here.
